World Book Day

To celebrate World Book Day on March 1^st children will read and share books with different classes on that day.  Children may like to bring one of their own favourite books to school to share with others.  They may also dress up as a character from a story for the day but this is entirely optional.

Children will receive a €1.50 Book Token which may be exchanged for a €1.50 World Book Day Book or used against the cost of any book costing €3.99 or more in participating bookshops.  The token is valid up to March 25^th. 2018.

Pancake Tuesday

We would like to thank most sincerely the members of our Parents’ Association who produced lovely pancakes for us all yesterday, Shrove Tuesday.  Making pancakes for 188 children and staff is a wonderful feat and always a treat! 

Ash Wednesday

We thank Fr. Ryan and Fr. Brennan who distributed ashes here in the school today Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent.

Confirmation 2018

The boys and girls of 5^th & 6^th class will be confirmed on Thursday, February 22^nd.  The time of the Confirmation ceremony is 11.00. 

Child Safeguarding Statement

All classes will be dismissed at 12.30 on Friday, February 23^rd as the staff will undertake training for our Child Safeguarding Statement. 

Mid-Term Break

Enjoy the mid-term break, tomorrow Thursday February 15^th and Friday February 16^th.

4th & 5th Class have been weaving many circles

Confirmation: The boys and girls of 5^th & 6^th class are preparing for their Confirmation on February 22^nd and will attend a retreat in Glenstal on Monday afternoon, February 12^th. 

Pancake Day: The school assisted by members of the Parents’ Association will hold its annual Pancake Day next Tuesday February 13th, Shrove Tuesday.  We ask each child to bring €2 which will be collected by the class teacher.  Funds raised will be used for the benefit of the children. 

Ash Wednesday: Our two priests will distribute ashes in the school on Ash Wednesday, February 14^th. 

Mid-term break: Thursday, February 15^th and Friday, February 16^th.
