The members of the Active School Committee have put together the information received from parents and children. They presented the results to the school at Assembly.
The results show that the children are very active after school and at the weekends.

Triple for Trócaire

Easter Egg Hunt April 2019

First, Second and Third had great fun on their Easter Egg Hunts with the help of our playground leaders from Fourth, Fifth and Sixth. They all finished up with an egg and spoon race!

Food Dudes

The Food Dudes Programme which is run by Bord Bia provided the children with tastings of fruit and vegetables over 16 days in the first term and a further 5 days in April. They all enjoyed trying out peppers, cucumber, carrots, mangetout, baby corn, apples, strawberries and blueberries!

Robotics Competition

Well done to our team of Laura Flynn, Luke Hartnett and Sarah Nicholas on reaching the final 16 teams in this competition held in Analog Devices European Research & Development Centre last Saturday.  Points were awarded for their teamwork, their robot design and innovation and how well their robot competed in the challenge.  Although this was a competition, our three team members enjoyed their day.  

Analog Devices Primary Schools Robotics Competition

The pupils of Fifth Class enjoyed a robotics workshop today where they were given the opportunity to work together as engineers, researchers, analysts and designers.  The boys and girls took measurements, analysed data, made predictions, solved problems and designed solutions as they worked in teams to build and test their projects.  The children who will go forward to the final of the competition on Saturday March 2nd are: Laura Flynn, Luke Hartnett and Sarah Nicholas.  The runners up were: Darragh Cummins, Eve-Ann Shanahan and Kyle Gow. 

5-a-side Indoor Hurling

East Limerick 5-a-side indoor hurling blitz

Well done to the 3rd and 4th class boys who competed in the East Limerick Cumann na mBunscol indoor hurling blitz at Caherconlish Hall on Tuesday the 5th of February.

The boys competed very well and showed great skill, heart and determination throughout the competition.  They defeated Donoughmore, drew with Castleconnell and lost to Nicker.  A big well done to all involved.
