Healthy Heroes Lunch Club
This week , we started the Healthy Heroes Lunch Club. Children from First, Second, Fifth and Sixth Class were chosen to be on the committee and will visit classes of Junior Infants, Senior Infants, Third and Fourth Class during lunch time to encourage healthy eating.
Halloween Tangrams: Third Class
Third class had so much fun exploring Tangram puzzles during Maths Week that we had to do a spooky Witch tangram for Halloween too!

Sixth class baking lesson
The children in sixth class enjoyed learning how to bake chocolate chip cookies this week in their baking lesson.
Champions League Books Delivery!
Children from 1st class to 6th class each received a Champions League Book. They were very happy with the delivery!
Autumn Leaves 1st and 2nd class
Maths Week: Fifth Class
Children in Fifth Class are celebrating Maths week with a wide range of activities. Last week, we started Maths Week with a Zoom of Izak9 cubes. We also studied the artist Kandinsky’s and used his art piece ‘Concentric Circles’ as a stimulus for our Scary Trees.
This week, we focused on problem solving using daily problems, solving different problems each day. We participated in the Mega Maths Quiz on Tuesday, working together to solve eight problems which were communicated through Zoom. On Wednesday, we completed a session on Scratch, creating a code based on 2D shapes.
On Thursday, children played a number of Maths game and participated in a Mega Maths Quiz in the class. They also have an opportunity to participate in a Chess workshop.
On Friday, children completed activities in a fun Maths booklet before playing die games with their friends.
Sixth Class Baking
Maths Week: Izak 9 Cubes
Children in Third Class had an opportunity to work with the Izak 9 cubes.
