Dancing Raisins: Junior Infants had a great time experimenting with raisins and water to see if they could make the raisins dance. They discovered that the raisins would dance when sparking water was used.

Science Week 2020: Virtual Science Events
Today, classes attended a Science virtual event to celebrate Science Week. Children from Junior Infants to Second Class attended ‘The Amazing Cosmos Journey’ and children from Third Class to Sixth Class attended ‘The Sophia Project’. These events were very interesting and were enjoyed by the children.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Junior Infants have been listening to the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar and asking our caterpillar lots of questions. They also created their very own hungry caterpillar.
Some Virtual Events For Science Week 2020
Science Week 2020
This week, we are celebrating Science Week. Throughout the week, each class will participate in at least three virtual events. These events have been organised by ‘Science Ireland’ and the ‘University of Limerick’.
Pumpkin Ramp STEM Experiment
Ms. O Connor’s third class group carried out a ‘Pumpkin Ramp’ STEM experiment. Children built ramps and investigated some of them by rolling pumpkins down the ramps.
Autumn and Halloween Art
Children in Junior Infants have been busy this month with Autumn and Halloween art. They created hedgehogs using different types of fabric and fibre. They used cotton buds to create autumn leaves on trees and created spooky spiders using handprints!
Halloween Pumpkin Carving
Well done to Holly and Reuben who carved pumpkins this week with Mr. Neville and Jessica Keogh.

Children in Sixth Class played a number of Maths games. The boys and girls worked together in their groups. They really enjoyed the different games!
