There was princesses, witches, Spidermen, two Hulks , one Wednesday Adams and one Woody in Junior infants for Halloween dress up day!

The children were very busy this week learning all about Halloween. We tasted báirín breac, made chocolate apples and decorated scary Halloween masks! We also loved reading the book “Room on the Broom” along with measuring paper skeletons and learning a new poem “Púca Púca” as gaeilge.

This half term, the children in sixth class took part in the mini-intel science competition. Taking part in the Intel Mini Scientist involves creating a science and / or technology project which can be based on the Primary Science Curriculum covering topics such as Living Things, Energy and Forces, Materials and Environmental Awareness and Care, or any area which is of interest to the participating students. 

Congratulation to all the children in sixth class for their hard work and dedication to this science competition. Well done to Bobby, Djulaibib and Dylan, who were chosen to represent Scoil Mhuire in the regional finals in Shannon at the end of November 👏
