Cumann na mBunscol East Limerick 9-a-side Boys’ Gaelic Football Final

Scoil Mhuire played Oola N.S. in the East Limerick Cumann na mBunscol 9 a side final in the Gaelic Grounds, Limerick on Wednesday 25th October 2017.  On the day Oola proved too strong for the Murroe boys and they ran out comfortable winners in the end.  The boys from Scoil Mhuire Murroe kept on trying their very best up to the final whistle and they supported each other throughout the game.  They played sportingly and fairly and respected the referee’s decisions. We are looking forward eagerly to the hurling competition in 2018.

A word of thanks to the Parents’ Council who funded a meal for both the boys’ and girls’ teams in Supermac’s.  Also, a special word of thanks to Siobhán Flynn [mother of Laura] who had everything ready in the restaurant for the children when they came in after their matches.  Siobhán managed to get an ice-cream for all of the children too!  Your help was greatly appreciated Siobhán.

The panel was:-Joe Shanahan [captain], David Kemp, Conor Barry, Eoin Callanan, Dannan O’Rourke, Luke Jordan, Gabhain O’Rourke, Cian Finch, Darragh Bourke, Oisín Holmes, Matthew Walshe, Jamie Long, John O’Brien, Vijay Power, Jamie O’Riordan.
