






Children in Fifth Class are working very hard playing the recorder. This month children are playing Dochas Linn Naomh Pàdraig, Hail Glorious St. Patrick and A Ìosa Glan mo Chroìse to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Thank you to Mrs. Griffin who leads this.
Children in Fifth class participated in yoga as Gaeilge this morning. This is something we hope to include every week. We are learning a lot about our wellbeing and gaining the tools and skills to support good overall wellbeing using a programme called ‘A Lust for Life’.
This week we are celebrating Engineer’s Week and children in Fifth Class had an opportunity to watch a video on Engineering and Sport which was provided by STEPS Ireland.
Book Club in Fifth Class met today to discuss the books members are reading. It was a lovely day to do it as we are celebrating World Book Day in school.
Second and Fifth Class celebrated ‘World Book Day’ with some paired reading. The boys and girls really enjoyed the occasion.
Fifth Class celebrated World Book Day completing different activities including a Zoom Session of different authors from Ireland discussing and reading their books. We also completed art based on our favourite books. Children participated in a Mega Quiz based on World Book Day. Lastly, children continued with their film study of the novel ‘Wonder’ after finishing the reading of the book this week.
