Junior Infants had a great time making Easter Bunnies this week. They also used cotton buds and pastel colours to paint Easter Eggs. The children loved mixing white with more vibrant colours to create pastel colours.

6th Class Easter Art
5th class Climate Change Project
Here is an example of online projects created by 5th class using Book Creator or PowerPoint. Ms. Chawke taught the children how to use Book Creator over Zoom and Seesaw during lockdown, specified what needed to be included in the project and directed children to relevant websites. Children then came up with their own very unique and creative projects. Many thanks to their parents who assisted them in setting up Book Creator accounts and who forwarded PowerPoints. A big well done to the 5th class who participated in this project and learned new and useful skills over lockdown. First Confession

World Book Day 2021 Junior infants
Junior Infants enjoyed making bookmarks and choosing books from the class library on World Book Day. They also had lots of fun listening to stories and drawing pictures from their favourite book.
Congratulations to Patricia Griffin
Congratulations to Patricia Griffin who will graduate from Mary Immaculate College with First Class Honours in the Master of Education programme on Friday October 23rd. Patricia’s dissertation was titled “A Phonological Awareness Programme through the Child’s Voice”. The girls and boys of the current 1st class participated in the study with Patricia. Cross Country Running
We had a great day at the Cross-Country Running competitions at Limerick Racecourse on Wednesday with our runners competing in u8, u9, u10 and u11 races!
